Welcome to the Continental Ranch
Rustic pioneer cabins in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado

Our family has been having fun here for more than 85 years. We hope you will decide to join us this year.

Family owned and operated since 1924.

Located on Forest Road 513, 2 miles off paved Colorado Highway 149, half way between Creede and Lake City, Colorado.

Driving Directions
There are only two ways to get to the Ranch by road. One is coming from the north from Lake City, and one is coming from the south from Creede.
From Creede
As you come into Creede from South Fork on Colorado 149, you will need to turn left at the gas station so that you stay on 149. A second left turn just after you cross the bridge over Willow Creek will keep you on 149 and at that point you will be going south out of town. In about 2 miles the highway will turn and take you in a more westerly direction. Stay on Highway 149.  It makes a big circle to the south, then to the west, then north, and just before you approach the turnoff to the Ranch on Forest Road 513, you will be going almost straight east. On your right will be a road that goes to North Clear Creek Falls. Don't turn there. Continue on 149. Just past where 149 crosses North Clear Creek, between mile marker 48 and 49, Forest Road 513 turns off to the left (north). There are some signs pointing to the Continental Reservoir and  Rito Hondo Reservoir. There is a small sign on the right side of  Forest Road 513 that says "Continental Ranch Cabin Rentals 2 miles". You are on the right road when you see that sign, just keep going until you get there.
From Lake City
Take Colorado Highway 149 out of Lake City to the south. In just a few miles you will begin a steep climb that will eventually take you to the top of Slumgullion Pass. The highway generally heads south, but mountain roads are not straight lines, so you will be going west and east on short sections. Don't worry, just have fun. Great views! As you come down the southeast side of the pass, you will pass a road that turns off to the north (left) to Oleo Ranch. Don't turn here. Keep going; you will cross Spring Creek pass and begin a long descent on a part of the Highway that goes almost straight south. After several miles the Highway turns to the west. Just after that turn to the west, the turnoff to Forest Road 513 will be on your right (north). Turn to the right. You can't go wrong now. You will see the sign "Continental Ranch Cabin Rentals 2 miles". Just keep going. You'll be there in just a few more minutes.
